This website is intended to provide interested visitors with information about a proposed extension of the SEPTA (The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) Broad Street Line  into Gloucester County, NJ.  This project offers the potential of being a truly transformative addition to the mass transit network of the Delaware Valley region. 

 

During the late 1980's, SEPTA considered a possible extension of the Broad Street Line. This article: SEPTA's Vision: More Rail Links For Suburbs - outlines plans for system expansion including a proposed "South Jersey Metro".  

 

Currently, there is a proposal to extend the Broad Street Line into the Navy Yard.  The planned alignments do nothing to provide service to New Jersey.
